Capstone World Travel is the brain child of Gabriel and Rosette Obedoza.
Professional expats for more than 15 years, and have lived and worked in North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Tagging along is their daughter, let's call her Mermaid - she loves the ocean with all her heart!
Let's meet the team of Capstone World Travel (CWT):
GABRIEL
A renaissance type guy, he is the photographer, tech geek, repair man, and "go for" person of Capstone World Travel. Gabriel plays the Ukulele, enjoys cooking Southeast Asian dishes, baking (yes way, he sure does!), makes coffee for Rosette every morning, Mermaid's Swim Coach, and chauffeur of the team. Did you know that he served the U.S. military for more than 24 years before he decided to retire from active duty service? Yep! That's how their adventures around the world got started.
ROSETTE
She is the project manager, business operations expert, and retreat strategist of Capstone World Travel. Rosette also pens the articles found in the JOURNAL section (except when we have a featured guest writer). On top of managing the smooth sailing of Capstone World Travel, she is also a Training Section Director for a U.S. government agency, and a Dissertation Advisor for an American university (did you know that she earned a doctorate degree in Education?!). From what we hear, she is not slowing down any time yet! When she is not busy being an entrepreneur, professional, mother, and wife --- she enjoys exploring local areas to find hidden gems such as spas, restaurants (she is a FOODIE), and places of interest for camping, hiking, snorkeling/diving, antiquing, to name a few.
MERMAID
Where do we begin with her? She is the resident Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator of Capstone World Travel. Mermaid is a good combo of Gabriel and Rosette. Just like her Dad, she enjoys baking and water sports. In fact, Gabriel and Mermaid are scuba diving buddies. As for her and her Momma Rosette, both of them love reading, writing, enjoying mani/pedi treatments, and shopping at local Farmers' Markets. Mermaid is passionate about water conservation, and protecting the ocean and marine animals.
FUR BALL
In the fall of 2022, the family adopted a rescue pup originally from Baja, California and fondly refer to her as Fur Ball. She is an Australian cattle dog/ Kelpie mix who LOVES to go swimming at the beach. Well, of course! Fur Ball is Mermaid's younger sister after all! She is a big fan of the doggie treats her older sister, Mermaid bakes for her. More importantly, she is Capstone World Travel's official mascot and Happiness Specialist.
